The Raytown Police were called to the area of 350 Highway, near Maple, this morning, at 1:15 A.M., after a motorist reported that a man in a silver Honda had pointed a gun at, and threatened, the motorist, during a traffic dispute. The traffic dispute occurred as both vehicles were traveling east on 350 Highway, at Laurel.

A Raytown Police Officer spotted the Honda at 350 Highway and Raytown Road. The officer followed the Honda east on 350 Highway, until other officers could arrive to assist in stopping the Honda. When the officers attempted to stop the Honda, the Honda fled. The officers pursued the Honda west, through Raytown, then into eastern Kansas City, where the Honda crashed into a ditch at I-435 and 87 Street, causing minor damage. One occupant fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended by a Raytown Officer. The remaining two occupants were taken into custody at the scene. A gun was found at the scene and it was recovered. No injuries were reported.

The individuals were being held in custody, but have not yet been charged. The investigation is ongoing.
