Maurice Mitchell missed qualifying by 0.28 seconds in the men’s 200m today at about 2:25 pm.  There was a false start and 2 runners were disqualified in the heat. Mitchell had a better start than he had in yesterdays heat that he won, got out to a lead, but did not have the kick 3 other runners had and was passed in about the final 30m (95 feet).  Only the first two runners go on to compete for the gold.
