Ball Bat Wielding Robber Hits Convenience Store

Last Monday, May 9th (05/09/2011) around 10:34 pm, Raytown Officers were sent to a convenience store in the 6000 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard to investigate a report of a robbery. The clerk told the officers that 2 black men came into the store with bandana’s covering their faces and threatened him with a ball bat. The clerk surrendered some cash and both men fled through the front door. One suspect is described as about 6 feet tall wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, white t-shirt and dark baggy jeans. The other suspect welding the bat was a little shorter than the first man, wearing a faded black t-shirt, dark jeans, and black tennis shoes. That man was described to be in his 20’s. No injuries were reported.
