The Summerfest was well organized this year and the selection of Carnivals was excellent. The only fly in the soup was the rain, something beyond the control of the Chamber.  It was unfortunate that some of the nice booths that were there on Friday, gave in to the rain Saturday morning, the rest of the booth just waited till about 2 P.M. and had 8 hours of festival time on Saturday as well.

The carnival this year featured excellent ride well suited for young children and also provided very good quality festival food at a reasonable price.

Working a booth precluded picture taking, but the Raytown Times has some excellent photos, so look for it in your local stores.
