Board of Aldermen agenda for 12/7/2010

The Board of Aldermen have a huge amount of work on their plate for the December 7th meeting. It is not available online at this time in an agenda only format, so it had to be extracted from the alderman information packet.

(click here for the whole packet which is huge, 230 pages)

Items of special interest are:

6.  Which will change how fees are set and recommends raising many of them.

7.  Extending the contract for animal control services. This one is personal, in that I was not happy with the care my pets received when they were in a fire while we were in Boston.

8. RAYTOWN 350 INV GROUP LLC comes back. It will be interesting to see if they have something more substantial to say this time.

13. THE POLICE OFFICERS’ RETIREMENT FUND PENSION PLAN gets changed.  What are the changes and what do they mean for the long term financial security of the officers that protect us and what effect will the changes have on the strained finances of Raytown.

14. Changes in the weapons and concealed weapons law. It is always good to know what is and what is not legal. On a personal note, it seems my tiny pocket knife will still be legal to cary.

This should be a long and interesting session.
