Business Robbed After Closing Time

A masked gunman reportedly held up employees as they were leaving their workplace in the 5200 block of Blue Ridge Blvd. shortly before midnight last night (10/12/2011). The two employees were walking to their cars when the masked man confronted them and forced them to return to the business. Once inside, one of the employees opened the store safe as the gunman threatened to kill them both with the pistol he was brandishing. After collecting the cash, the man fled the scene on foot toward Blue Ridge Blvd. and Woodson. The victims described the man as being black, about 5’ 9” tall and “chubby.” He was wearing a black sweatshirt, baggy black sweatpants with oversized cargo pockets, a black ski mask, black gloves, a blue backpack and was believed to be wearing glasses. He was armed with what looked like a black, semi-aut omatic pistol.
