Car Taken at Gun Point

At approximately 5:50 p.m. on 12/11/2013, the Raytown Police were called in regard to a vehicle taken at gunpoint in the area of Blue Ridge Boulevard and Spring Valley Road. The victim stated he was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect knocked on his driver’s window. The suspect was a black male possibly in his early to mid-twenties, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect pointed a dark colored handgun at the victim and ordered him out of the vehicle. After the victim complied, the suspect got in the vehicle and left in an unknown direction. Approximately an hour later the police recovered the stolen vehicle in the 8400 block of Kentucky in Raytown, Missouri. The suspect was not with the vehicle and has not been identified.

There were no injuries reported at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 474-TIPS.
