Construction street and lane closings

Public Water Supply District #2

 Construction Update:

The board of directors of PWSD#2 has approved the following pipeline replacements. All new pipelines are ductile iron pipe and are replacing failing cast iron pipes of smaller diameters.

  • 86th terrace from Booth to James A Reed, this project was to start in mid-July but now will start in midAugust and is estimated to last into October. The line will be located on the south side of the street.
  • 79th street from Hardy to Appleton, this project is scheduled to start in late July and last about 60 days. It will require the replacement of sidewalk along the south side of 79th street, the city will also be doing street and curb repair in this area
  • Willow Street from 66th street to 67th street and 66th street from Willow to Hardy, this project will start July 15th and take 5 weeks to complete.

 These construction projects will require lane closers from time to time, please drive carefully in construction areas.
