Lady Jays soccer

Game date 5- 16-11 District

Congratulation to the 2011 Lady Jays soccer team for a great season with a record of 20 – 5 – 1 this is a new season high for wins. The Lady Jays were defeat in the semi-finals of district by Lee’s Summit North 3 – 2 with our dynamic duo of Remi Mays and Jessica Herrman getting a goal each. This is a group of ladies with only 3 seniors leaving and a bunch of real talent players returning next year. Kudos to Coach Burriss and Megan Evans for molding this team. Jessica Herrman set a new scoring record of 48 goals breaking the old record of 38 by Jessica Leslie class of 2000. There are not many teams that had what I have been calling the dynamic duo as juniors these two combined to score a total of 80 points, Jessica 48 and Remi 32 and when you add or super senior Paige Staples with her 22 goals you have a scoring machine that combined for 102 points for the season. This was a season to remember and my thanks for some real exciting soccer for Raytown.
