Recently, Laurel Hills Elementary students had a rock ‘n’ good time during their unit on lifetime sports. For the conclusion of the unit, the gym was transformed into a glowing bowling alley equipped with a disco ball and fun dance tunes. As a part of the lesson, students used math skills to calculate scores and learned about the importance of teamwork. Each student was assigned a role that was required to keep the game going (for example, one student had to rest the pins). After each turn, the students switched roles. “I really appreciate all of the parents and guests who joined us for Rock ‘n’ Bowl,” P.E. Teacher April Pfannenstiel said. “We had 122 guest come and bowl during this special event.
