Let’s Move Camp – Raytown

Let’s Move Camp – Raytown, is a non-profit pilot program inspired by a national campaign created by Michelle Obama to fight childhood obesity.

Initiated by business owner and long-time Raytown resident, Jann Wynn, Let’s Move Camp- Raytown is an exercise and dance program free of charge for Raytown School District students K-12 designed to fight childhood obesity. This has been sponsored by Passantino’s Family Markets, Raytown Funhouse Pizza, Awards & T-Shirts Specialists, Beacon Free Will Baptist Church and Wynn Twins School of Dance.

On Thursday, August 11th at 4:00 p.m., hundreds of kids will be performing camp drills and the Let’s Move Dance in the Beacon Free Will Baptist Church parking lot, across the street from Wynn Twins, for city officials, family and friends.

The sponsors and organizers of the program hope to motivate other dance studios to open their doors during the summer to allow their school district students to dance and exercise free of charge.
