
Malcolm D. Johnson, 25 from Kansas City, has been charged with the Oct. 24th murder of Monteario Hogan. Mr. Hogan was found lying on the pavement behind the Family Dollar Store at 5242 Blue Ridge Blvd at about 10:00 PM. Witnesses stated that the victim had earlier lifted his shirt to display a gun during an argument in the nearby McDonald’s and that Johnson arrived later in response to a phone call from a party to the disagreement.

A 25-year-old Kansas City man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Monteario Hogan in Raytown on Oct. 24, 2014, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Malcolm D. Johnson, dob: 8/14/1989, faces Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records, Hogan was found lying outside a Family Dollar Store in the 5200 block of Blue Ridge Blvd in Raytown. Witnesses told Raytown Police that they observed Johnson shooting at the victim and get into a vehicle and leave at a high rate of speed.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000.
The charges against Johnson were filed earlier this month but not released until today. He was recently taken into custody.
