One Way – Wrong Way – On Willow

Residents on and around Willow Ave from 70th Terr to 71st Terr came to City Hall and voiced their displeasure about the change of Willow to a one way street flowing North.  A common complaint was that it forced many of them to us Raytown Road to get to destinations that in the past they had been able to reach without making a left turn onto a major (read busy) street.  The residents of the affected area aired their views for 24 minutes.  The most common suggestion was to alter the direction of the street to flow South.

The reason for the change is that Willow is barely as wide as a alley, not wide enough for two cars to go by each other without one or both using part of someones yard to drive on.
