OnStar Information Leads to Brief Stand Off and Stolen Auto Recovery

A tip from OnStar led Raytown Police to a residence this morning (February 28th, 2012) at about 10:30 to look for a stolen car. That car, and another Officers believed to be stolen, were thought to be in the garage of that house in the 8800 block of 52nd Terrace. The car had been stolen earlier in the morning from a local dealership. Detectives tried to talk to somebody by telephone and were told they would not be allowed inside the house. Officers surrounded the house to await a search warrant. After a brief standoff, five (5) people surrendered without incident. Detectives are questioning those people, but no one has been charged. Officers are awaiting a judge’s decision on a search warrant.
