Planning & Zoning Commission meeting May 2nd

The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet tomorrow (May 2nd) at 7:00 pm. The last meeting ended in a tie vote on the Wal-Mart issue. There have been recommended changes that include not being open 24 hrs. a day, reducing the size of signage, and the elimination of the parking lot extending to 63rd Street.

Wal-Mart is not asking for tax abatement for this project, but members of the community are worrying that the downtown area is already designated a 353 tax abatement district.
