Officers were called at 6:23PM to the McDonald’s at 5260 Blue Ridge Blvd. A victim had been stabbed in the parking lot and is in serious but stable condition at an area hospital. A suspect was taken into custody.

The incident stemmed from a fight between two individuals.  Both are residents of Kansas City, MO.  During the fight one of the men (18yoa) stabbed the other (19 yoa).  Friends took the man who was stabbed to the Raytown EMS station where they gave aid and then removed him by ambulance to a local hospital where he remains.  His injuries are life threatening.  The other young man was taken into custody and held during the first part of the investigation.  He was released later while the case is being assembled for the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office to review.  Charges have not been filed yet.

This story needs to be updated because as of Tuesday the 23rd or Wednesday the 24th, the teenager who was stabbed has died and the other teen is still out walking around with his freedom!
