Police to Enforce School Speed Zones for Summer School

The Raytown Police Department is urging motorists to obey the posted 25 mile an hour school speed zones, during the Summer School Session June 3rd through the 30th. The school zones are operational Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For the convenience and compliance of the motoring public and the safety of the students, the following schools have been listed because they are within the City limits of Raytown, are listed as open for Summer School and are subject to School Speed Zone enforcement by the Raytown Police Department.

This is an updated list of those schools as of 06/02/10.

 Southwood School at 81st and Raytown Rd

 Laurel Hills Elementary at 55th and Lane Ave.

Raytown South Middle School on 83rd between James A Reed and Booth

Raytown High School at 6019 Blue Ridge Blvd

Raytown South High School 8211 Sterling

There is an additional $50.00 dollar fine for speed violations in a School Zone:
