Raytown Emergency Preparedness to test Emergency Warning Sirens

An upgrade to the outdoor warning sirens by Raytown Emergency Preparedness requires that they be tested on Wednesday, October 12th at 11:oo am. Emergency Preparedness Director Police Chief Jim Lynch stated “With the upgrades made to the receivers at each siren location it is important to test them to ensure that they are working properly.” The outdoor warning sirens are located at:

55th Terrace/Sterling Avenue

59th Street/Lane Avenue

67th Street/Harvard Avenue

70th Terrace/Elm Street

Raytown Road/81st Street

83rd Street/Stark Avenue

350 Highway/Woodson Drive

Please contact the Raytown Police Department at 816-737-6020 if there is a problem with the siren in your neighborhood.

 If there is inclement weather the test will be postponed until Thursday, October 13th at 11:00 am.
