Raytown ends month with 2nd homicide – 7100 block of Woodson Rd.

Raytown Police were called to the 7100 block of Crisp at about 10:22 p.m. last night to investigate the report of a man down from a gunshot wound.  When they arrived police found an 18 year old Kansas City man lying in the yard suffering from a superficial gunshot wound.  About fifteen minutes later, police received another call to the 7100 block of Woodson, about a block and half away, to investigate a report of another gunshot victim.  At that second address police and paramedics found a 40 year old Kansas City man lying dead inside the house.  The second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  No names have been released at this early stage of the investigation.  Detectives are working on locating the dead man’s next of kin.  Police believe that both shootings are connected.
