Raytown man arrested in Brookside

Raymond C. Hoblia

A 35 year old Raytown resident Raymond C. Hoblia was arrested in the Brookside area of Kansas City. A man in the 400 block of W. 59th Terrace saw Hoblia trying to open a sliding door side of his home. The he called police. Officers already nearby responded. The officers found the suspect in a nearby house. A K-9 officer was brought in and apprehended Hoblia who was hiding in a bedroom closet.

While all the news refers to Hoblia as a Kansas City man, the charging documents give his address in the 5900 block of Kentucky Ave. which is in the heart of Raytown. Hoblia has felony convictions in 2001 for Robbery and Armed Criminal Action and another conviction in 2011 for Burglary. Both these convictions were for crimes committed in Jackson County, MO.
