The Raytown Rotary Club recently made a donation of $3500.00 to REAP to help
pay for Kitchen Equipment installed at their new facility. In late 2008,
the Club’s Board of Directors voted to submit an application to the Club’s
District leadership requesting a District Simplified Grant and the Club
would match the Grant request up to $1500.00 from Club funds. The Grant was
approved earlier this year and once all paperwork was completed, the funds
were distributed to the local Club. District Simplified Grants are awarded
based on the criteria that they must be humanitarian projects that benefit
the community. REAP’s new facility on 75th Street definitely fit that
criteria. At a Club meeting held at the new facility on March 30th, the
check was given to Al Brown and it was warmly received.
