Raytown SWAT arrests man at 55th & Ditzler

At 6:22 A.M., officers responded to the area 55th Street and Ditzler to investigate the report that a disturbance had taken place. When officers arrived, a woman came out of the house. She had visible physical injuries that did not require medical attention. She told police that a man inside the house had assaulted her and might have a gun. Officer’s tried unsuccessfully to make contact with the man. Officers called for assistance from the Raytown Police SWAT Team. A short time later a woman and young child walked out of the house without incident. That woman reported having been unaware of the police activity at the house, and confirmed the man’s presence inside. The suspect surrendered a short time later when the SWAT team entered the house. Thank you police officers, for bringing this dangerous problem to a peaceful conclusion. It’s too bad the city can’t charge the individual, that caused this problem in the first place, for the the total cost of it.
