Raytown youth charged with 2nd degree murder

Dalvin D. Johnson, 17 has been charged in the Christmas Eve slaying of Joseph T. Jones. The complete charges are Murder 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.

The charges state that Johnson along with Adrian M. Botello planned to lure Mr. Jones out of his residence by having an un-named juvenile tell the victim that the juveniles sister was at a nearby convenience store and to rob the victim on his way to the store. The plan was supposedly concocted by Johnson, Botello, the juvenile and the juvenile’s sister. It is alleged that when the victim resisted, Johnson shot him once, causing his death.

Adrian M. Botello has already been charge in this case.
