Rylie Brown wowed the X-Factor judges on the 2013 season and now she is preparing to sing Christmas carols to the children, teenagers and families at City Union Mission in a private performance that will be available online via a live streaming broadcast on Dec. 20th, Friday at 4:30 pm. The broadcast will be streamed live and archived at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/rylie-brown-live for future viewing.
“I can’t really put into words how excited I am to be participating in this event,” says Brown. “It’s totally a great opportunity to speak into people’s lives, as well as give back to my community. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a very long time. This is gonna be great event.” Brown will be taking questions from viewers over the U Stream broadcast.
“We’re very pleased to have Rylie visit our Family Shelter, and the children will be especially excited to meet and talk with her about all the hard work that goes into following your dream,” says Ben King, spokesman for City Union Mission. “I know their time with Rylie will encourage and inspire them to believe in themselves and to cultivate their own unique talents and skills.”
Brown will be accompanied by two up and coming Kansas City area singers, Maddie Watts and Alex Haywood. They also auditioned for the X Factor show in 2012. The Christmas broadcast will also feature a donated appearance from a Santa who will distribute candy canes.
