Shepherd’s Center Annual Used Book Sale

Don’t miss the best Used Book Sale of the year! The Shepherd’s Center of Raytown will hold its annual Used Book Sale on Friday, September 23rd & Saturday, September 24th, 2011 at the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, 6429 Blue Ridge Blvd. in Raytown Missouri (across from Blue Ridge Elementary School). This exciting book sale will be held downstairs in the Fellowship Hall from 9 am -5 pm on Friday and 9 am-3 pm on Saturday. Leave those e-books behind and browse the large assortment of romance novels, cookbooks, mysteries, children’s books and everything else in between.

Mark your calendars NOW for this exciting event. This is an important fundraiser for the Shepherd’s Center of Raytown, a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for the older adults of the Raytown community.

If you have books to donate call the Shepherd’s Center at 356-9000 for the nearest drop-off location or bring them by the Shepherd’s Center office at One Sprit United Methodist, 7900 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.

All proceeds from the annual Book Sale support life changing programs and services of Shepherd’s Center of Raytown for the older adults of the Raytown community. The Shepherd’s Center of Raytown offers many programs that enable older adults to discover opportunities for continuing intellectual, social, and spiritual growth. These programs include: Adventures in Learning, Exercise Group, Book Club, Bridge/Cards Group, Tai Chi Chih, and Stroke Support Group. In order to maintain the dignity and independence of older adults, Shepherd’s Center of Raytown also provides the following services: Meals on Wheels, Senior Companion/Respite Care, Telephone Reassurance, Handyman Repair and Wheels that Care transportation assistance.
