Stabbing Victim Dies of Injuries

Raytown Police report that the young man, who was stabbed during a fight in the parking lot of a local McDonald’s on the 18^th of November, has succumbed to his wounds.  Police investigators say that Michael D. Givens, a 19 year old Kansas City man passed away Wednesday evening (11/24/2010) in the hospital where he was taken by ambulance the night of the incident.  Another Kansas City man was taken into custody at the scene that night, but has since been released as police continue their investigation. 

Police continue their investigation into the incident and expect to submit their results to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office soon.  No charges have been filed in the case so far.  Police will not discuss the case further while their investigation is being prepared for review by the prosecutor.
