State Ratings for Raytown Schools jumps 33%

The Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) released their Annual Performance Report (APR) early this morning. This is the report whose numbers indicate haw well each school district is doing on meeting the State of Missouri’s standards. Failure by a district can result in loss of accreditation.  The Raytown School District’s score have gone from a 9 last year to a 12 this year.  That is the equivalent of jumping from a D or C- to a B or B+.  By comparison, Kansas City has gone from a 3 in 2011 to a 5 in 2012 and Hickman Mill’s has dropped from a 9 in 2011 to a 7 in 2012.  The total possible score is a 14.
