You Drink and Drive. You Lose. St. Patrick’s Day DUI Enforcement

Raytown Police are Cracking Down on Impaired Drivers from March 16th through March 18th, 2012.The sobering fact is that impaired driving contributes to nearly 30 percent of all Missouri traffic fatalities. In 2010 there were 234 people killed and 957 seriously injured in crashes that involved an impaired driver. That is why the Raytown Police Department will join other Missouri Law Enforcement agencies in cracking down on impaired drivers during the time period of March 16th through March 18th.

Consequences of impaired driving include jail time, loss of their driver’s licenses, or being sentenced to use ignition interlock devices. Also insurance rates go up and the financial hits of attorney fees, court costs, lost time from work and the potential loss of job or job prospects. The message is clear. Impaired driving is not worth the consequences. You Drink. You Drive. You Lose.
