Armed Man Attempts to Rob Raytown Bank

At about 10:00AM this morning (06-23-12), Raytown Police received several 911 calls about Blue Ridge Bank and Trust, located in the 6200 block of Raytown Trfwy., being robbed and shots fired. When officers arrived the bank security officer stated he was confronted by an armed black man who then demanded his weapon. The security officer then fired shots in the man’s direction. The man then fled on foot and it is believed he returned shots. There are no known injuries. The suspect is described as a black male, in his 20’s or 30’s, bald, wearing a white & blue plaid long sleeved button down shirt and jeans.
