Weather Report from Raytown Public Works

Public Works is now expecting significant sleet and some freezing drizzle and rain for the remainder of the winter event.  The snow is now expected to fall in the northern reaches of the metro.

Public Works has applied salt to all streets and is monitoring conditions to determine when it will be necessary to retreat.  We will have to retreat the roads to prevent a buildup of sleet and ice over the evening hours and early morning of Saturday.  We do not expect much need for snow plows during this event but will have to salt the roadways several times.

Be watchful for slick areas if you are getting out during the event.
