The Raytown High School Bluejay Marching Pride band attended their last festival of the season on October 29 at the University of Central Missouri Festival of Champions. The band placed 3rd in class in preliminary competition and qualified to perform in finals for the first time ever. The band finished 9th in finals competition out of a total of 25 bands attended. In the indoor competition the drum line finished 1st in class and 4th overall out of 15 groups. Also in indoor competition the Color Guard finished 1st in class and 2nd overall out of 12 groups.
The band is led by Joseph Hill and assistants Mike Doney, Lacie Glenn, and Kelly Schoolcraft.
